Logo I designed for Argent LLC
This is the 4th or so time I’ve designed a logo, and again, it wasn’t the job description. I was just making a web site. It’s pretty cool though.
The company does asset protection, which is to say, they make it so people that have a bunch of money keep their money.
Argent is the silver color used in family crests.
I used a shield to reference a coat of arms and to symbolize trustworthiness and protection. The color argent shows up in crests usually as white, so I employed a lot of white in the logo (the grey background is not part of the logo).
I’m pretty proud of this logo. Logos are normally a huge pain in the ass, but this one just came to me like a flash.
The lines of the F converge in a triangle that begins on the left flank of the word “The.” The star of the ‘o’ in Fasionista looks like it is bulging out as it cuts into the ‘i’ and ‘n’ next to it.
The star is also reminiscent of a sherif’s badge, symbolizing that Fashionista 411 is the authority on fashion, or alternately, it reminds you of the Hollywood stars that are the pinnacle of fashion.
My struggle was with the 411 part of the logo. I was trying to go for something digital, but it didn’t work out with the logo, so I ended up using a cursive font that I modified.
I also designed the F-Bomb as I like to call it.It is an element that can be used as a bullet or as a short-hand for the full logo. The F and the star have lines that aren’t quite parallel which creates a subtle tension between the two elements.
The surrounding circle is optional, but when used creates a lens effect making it look a little more orb-like.
This is a logo I did for an event that I am doing called Back That Ass Up. It will be on T-shirts and the PR for the show. Maybe stickers.
